Diary of Nobody

I'm the insult on a placard
I'm the shadow on a screen
I'm the contents of a test tube
I'm the one who's never been;

Just a question mark in history
Never knew my father's name
Couldn't call or cry or ask him
Whether things were still the same;

No birthday card to purchase
Left blank for special words
No special celebration
No music to be heard;

No birth date to remind you
No flowers on my grave
Nothing to remember
Nobody to save.
